15-year-old wins Miss Teen Philippines 2014

 


Reissha Nicole Magadia, a high student from Antipolo City, was crowned Miss Teen Philippines (MTP) at the glitzy coronation night held at the PICC recently.


The 15-year-old model who stands 5'8" bested 39 other teenage hopefuls vying for the title and the opportunity to advocate education among the youth.


Aside from becoming the Department of Education’s Ambassadress for Education, Reissha took home a prize package worth P2.6 million.


The young beauty queen is MTP's first title-holder in seven years since it took a break from the pageant circuit in 2007.


Among the judges from the private sector, politics and education were Senator Paolo Benigno "Bam" Aquino IV; and Gregorio Ramon “Gio” Tingson, Chairperson of the National Youth Commission; Brian Poe, upcoming actor and youth ambassador for I AM PGH; Natalie Christine Jorge, member of MTP Advisory Board, Executive Director of Bato Balani Foundation, World Bank Governance and Communications Specialist; Nielson Pangan, 2013 bar topnotcher and Associate Partner at Migallos & Luna Law Office; and Noreen Marian Bautista, global shaper of the World Economic Forum.


Cory Quirino, National Director of Miss World Philippines; and Precious Lara Quigaman; 2005 Miss International and MTP mentor also judged the pageant.
