Filipino Youth’s Global Readiness and Miss Teen Philippines 2014

Trending in, within the next four months, is the country’s biggest and most premier search for the outstanding Filipina role model among teenagers. Beyond elegance and beauty, the teen quest aims to develop confident and articulate young ladies passionate about championing education for global readiness.

Miss Teen Philippines, in partnership with the Department of Education, spearheads the revival of the Miss Teen Philippines competition that originally began in 2004. Grand coronation night is set on May 31, and will be aired over TV5.

Interested candidates 13 to 18 years old may download their application forms from the official website www.missteenphils.org. Entries should be submitted to Miss Teen Philippines organizers, together with all required documents on or before the 8th of March. Screening and pre-qualifying events are scheduled in the seven key cities of Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Iloilo, Naga, Baguio and Manila. Serving as a valuable partner in the project are the SM Supermalls in these areas.

The winning Miss Teen Philippines 2014 will serve as the Department of Education’s youth ambassador, aside from taking home cash and an attractive benefit and scholarship package.

Joining today’s MOA signing event are DepEd Undersecretary Mario A. Deriquito, Mr. Ian Arceo and Ms. Karen Arceo, organizers of Miss Teen Philippines, and 2006 Miss Teen Philippines winner Ms. Jules Savard.
